Disney has released a new trailer for its upcoming live-action version of Cinderella.
Downton Abbey's Lily James stars as the title character, flanked by an impressive supporting cast that includes Cate Blanchett as Lady Tremaine aka the Wicked Stepmother, Helena Bonham Carter as the Fairy Godmother and Game of Thrones' Richard Madden as Kit aka Prince Charming.
Hayley Atwell, Derek Jacobi and Stellan Skarsgard also appear in supporting roles. Kenneth Branagh directed from a script by Aline Brosh McKenna (The Devil Wears Prada) and Chris Weitz (The Golden Compass). Shooting took place at Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire and at various historic locations in England including Windsor Castle and Blenheim Palace.
Disney's new Cinderella movie is set to open in UK cinemas on March 27. Screenings of the film will be accompanied by Frozen Fever, a new Disney short film featuring the characters from Frozen.
Disney previously turned the classic fairytale into a much-loved animated film that originally opened in cinemas in 1950.
